In Chapter VI, Alice sees the Cheshire Cat sitting on a bough of a tree. She wants to ask her which way she should walk. The cat shows around with his paws and says; ‘’Visit either you like: they’re both mad.’’ Alice remarks that she doesn’t want to go among mad people. ‘’Oh you can’t help that,’’ says the Cat: ‘’We’re all mad here.’’

To me, in this quote the word ‘’mad’’ is not something to be afraid of. I think it tells us to embrace our quirky sides even in the most strange situations.

3- ‘’It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.’’

4- ‘’Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle!’’

This quote is also a reflection of an identity crisis, just as the quote above. She has been through a lot during the story that she doesn’t know exactly where she is or who she is. However she tries to manage this crisis by thinking it is just a fun puzzle. It shows us that even in the worst places, there is a light to overcome.

5- ‘’It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!’’

This quote appears in the sequel book of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland named ‘’Through the Looking-Glass’’ In the book, Alice involves an incident named ‘’Red Queen’s Race’’ She runs constantly but remains in the same spot.
